Who hasn't consulted online customer reviews before buying a product or visiting a shop? 👀

Yes, taking care of your image on the Internet has become more important than ever.

We wouldn't wish it on you, but there's a very good chance that one day you'll receive a bad review on your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business).
Read on to discover our 3 tips for handling the situation and getting a Google review removed 🗑️

    We're off! 👇

    Report negative feedback

If you feel that some of the comments in the review are inappropriate or contain false information, you can report it. This is the best way to have a Google review removed.

It couldn't be easier. Log in to your Google Business Profile account and go to the review that's causing the problem.
Click on the three little dots to the right of the review and select "Report review" 🛑

Report review button to remove a Google Business Profile review

Finally, tick the reason why you wish to report this notice, and click on the " button.Send report" 📨

Reason to report a review to remove a Google Business Profile review

You can also report a notice from Google Maps 👌

If you've selected "Coarse content", "Bullying or harassment" or "Discrimination or incitement to hatred", you'll soon hear from us. Google is very attentive to content containing insults or of a sexual or racist nature.

On the other hand, if you've selected another reason (spam, off-topic ...), it may take longer ⏳ before you get a response. We advise you to reply to the review so as not to leave the author without a reply.

    Reply to negative feedback

The second tip is simply to respond to the negative review.
Whether the report is rejected or the decision takes time, you must never bury your head in the sand. 🙉 We strongly advise you to respond to negative reviews so as not to leave your customer without feedback.

Remember 👆, responding to a Google review means responding publicly.
So find the right words, remain cordial and courteous, try to calm the situation, apologize (if justified) 😎
You can also offer a commercial gesture, depending on the case.

All means are good to induce the author to change his mind and delete his review.

Ask the author to remove his Google review

Despite your response to the bad review, the disgruntled customer still hasn't removed it? Then give it your best shot!
If you know the identity of the author 🪪 and have their contact details (e-mail or telephone number), get in touch with them ☎️
This is the last resort, but sometimes a simple conversation can resolve the conflict. 🕊️

Bonus tip: Collect new positive reviews to dilute this negative review 🤗 The review will still be present on your Google Business Profile, but it will be drowned out by all the other 5-star reviews ⭐️

As you can see, there's no magic bullet 🪄 for removing a Google review in 2 clicks. If Google considers the review in question to be inappropriate, you're in luck 🍀, it will be removed 🎉, otherwise you can only limit the damage and pray 🙏 that the user deletes it.

Whatever the case, it's important ❗️ to keep listening 👂 and to have cordial, courteous exchanges with your customers. 🤝
